Abstract

The meaning of Malay personality has experienced degradation throughout history, encompassing cultural values, identity, and work ethic. This article discusses the concept of the "New Malay" as a generation capable of adapting to modernity without losing its core identity. Based on the ideas of figures such as Mahathir Muhammad and Naquib Alatas, this study integrates religious, cultural, and technological innovation values to formulate strategies for revitalizing Malay identity. A qualitative method was employed using a literature review approach, focusing on cultural values, the concept of marwah, and community development strategies. The findings highlight the importance of education, entrepreneurship, and cultural preservation as foundations for building an independent, creative, and competitive Malay community.
