Abstract
New Malay offers a progressive perspective in responding to the challenges of globalization, emphasizing the importance of integrating tradition and modernity to strengthen cultural identity. This study uses a qualitative approach with document analysis to explore the concept of New Malay as a social philosophy. The findings show that adat has a central role as an instrument of emancipation and social reconstruction. By integrating the foundations of cultural sociology, moral philosophy, and modernization theory, New Malay provides a relevant holistic framework to answer the challenges of modernity. This research recommends the development of culture-based policies as an adaptive response to global change. Keywords: New Malay, social philosophy, customs, modernization, cultural emancipation
