Abstract
This study aims to identity narrative structure contained in Natuna’s folkores with use qualitative descriptive methods. The research data will focus on folklore which is still in oral form. Data collection techniques used in-depth interviews and selection of informants through purposive sampling. The research locations were in Senubing-Ranai, Selemam, Pengadah, and Cemaga Tengah. The stories obtained are the Asal-usul Pengadah (The Origin of Pengadah), Asal-usul Batu Gerun (The Origin of Gerun Stone), Asal-usul Batu Semineng (The Origin of Semineng Stone), Asal-usul Batu Sekalong (The Origin of Sekalong Stone), Legenda Batu Sindu (The Legend of Sindu Stone), and Legenda Telapak Kaki Tok Nyong (The Legend of Tok Nyong Foot). This research uses Vladimir Propp theory of narrative structural. The research result show Natuna folklore have been analysed, there are 15 function, namely function number I, II, III, V, VI, VII, VIII, VIIIa, XI, XIII, XVI, XVIII, XIX, XX, and XXII. The function that appears the most in the six Natuna folklores is function no. XVII, XVI, XX, and VIII.
